The story

Built because the tip jar died.

Nobody carries cash anymore. At a coffee shop that's fine, the card reader asks about a tip. But at a sponsored event, a charity gala, or an open bar, there's no register and no bill. The jar sits empty while the bartender works the hardest night of the week.

Spencer builds coffee carts and software at Wooden Cow: cart fabrication on one side, VenVen software for cart operators on the other. Years behind the counter at free events meant watching guests pat their pockets, apologize, and walk away. The gratitude was real. It just had nowhere to go.

TipNod is the fix. A small kiosk that gives gratitude somewhere to land: one tap of the phone, one QR code, paid on the guest's own phone. Hardware and software designed in Wisconsin.

Wooden Cow Labs

TipNod is a Wooden Cow Labs product. Wooden Cow also builds VenVen, the operating system for coffee carts. Same shop, same standard: sturdy tools for the people doing the serving.
