Privacy policy

From organizers: your name, email address, organization name, and the events and devices you set up in the dashboard.

From guests: the tip amount, the event it belongs to, and an optional short note if you choose to leave one. We do not require an account, an app, or an email address to give a Nod.

From demo requests: the name, email, company, and message you submit on the demo form, used only to reply to you.

All guest payments are processed by Stripe on the guest's own phone. Card numbers, Apple Pay, and Google Pay credentials go directly to Stripe and never touch the TipNod kiosk or our servers. We receive only confirmation that a payment succeeded, its amount, and Stripe's reference identifiers.

Stripe's handling of payment data is governed by its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

We use Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no advertising identifiers, no consent banner needed. It tells us which pages are visited, not who you are.

To run the service: recording tips, paying out organizers, pairing devices, and showing organizers their own dashboards. To respond when you contact us or book a demo. To send organizers service-related email about their account. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Service providers that run TipNod: Stripe (payments and payouts), Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting and analytics), and Resend (transactional email). Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Organizer accounts and tip records are kept while your account is active and as long as we need them for tax, accounting, and dispute obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal information by emailing us; we will honor it except where we are legally required to keep records.

You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Guest tips carry so little personal information that in most cases there is nothing to look up. Either way, email us and a human will answer.

TipNod is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We will post updates on this page and adjust the date above. If a change is significant, we will tell organizers by email before it takes effect.
